Directions for Use:
It can be applied using circulation, brushing, mopping, wiping with a stiff sponge, or immersion methods. It should not be diluted with water. 1 kg of CAS PASSIVATING forms a protective layer on an area of approximately 12m ². The circulation method is used for the passivation of pipe lines and tank surfaces. The unit to be cleaned is filled with CAS PASSIVATING and circulated for approximately 2 hours. At the end of the application, the unit must be drained and rinsed with pure water. For brushing, mopping, and wiping methods, the application time should be 15 minutes. After application, the unit must be rinsed with pure water. The immersion method is used when passivation of both internal and external surfaces is required. Fill a plastic or plastic-lined tub with CAS PASSIVATING and let the unit to be treated soak in the tub for about 15 minutes. After application, rinse with pure water. The methods described above can be applied for cleaning aluminum surfaces. A 10% CAS PASSIVATING solution should be used for the application. When discharging cleaning waste after application, it must be neutralized with CK ALK or a derivative. It is corrosive upon contact with all metals other than stainless steel. Protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application, and the area must be properly ventilated.
