Who we are
Cemkimsan was founded in 1980 in Istanbul by Cemal Kağıtçı, a mechanical engineer specialized in ship management. Since its establishment, Cemkimsan has been one of the first manufacturers of marine chemicals and water treatment chemicals in Turkey. Cemkimsan's founding purpose is to provide technical chemical supply and consultancy to the industry of our country and has increased its market share every year and increased the number of enterprises it cooperates with.
In 1994, it moved to its Dilovası factory, where it continues to produce some of its products today. In the meantime, the production of its own registered brands in the same factory has moved to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. As the importance given to water consumption and the environment in industry has increased, Cemkimsan, which has obtained certificates such as IMO and NSF and is constantly audited by these international organizations, is seen as an exemplary company in its sector in terms of environmental awareness in the 2000s.
In 2020, it is an enterprise that exports to 8 countries, serves all cities in the country with 6 dealers, and produces for many leading companies in its sector.
The main goals of the solution partnerships it has established with its customers for more than decades are: to ensure that business investments are maintained for the longest time with the highest performance, to reduce input costs without compromising quality, to contribute to both businesses and the national and world economy by preventing energy and water losses.
Sustainability
We are aware of the need to protect our natural environment, to leave a livable world for future generations, and to raise social and economic standards.
The impact of all activities carried out on our world on our environment, social and economic life should be evaluated and these impacts should be taken into account when planning activities.
As Cemkimsan Kimya, one of our main objectives is to reduce the environmental impact of all our activities. For this purpose, we undertake to work in accordance with international environmental standards, to produce environmentally friendly products for use both on land and offshore, and to work to reduce the environmental impact of our own activities as well as those of our customers.
We are committed to contribute to the economic and social development of the people we serve, especially our employees.
What are we doing?
1) We have prepared our processes in compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
2) We submitted our cleaning chemicals to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) inspection and received approval that they can be discharged on the high seas.
3) We have submitted our water treatment chemicals and production process to the NSF Public Health and Safety Organization audit and received approval that they can be used in drinking water plants.
4) We plan our water treatment programs to minimize both water and energy consumption. We reduce the amount of wastewater and energy requirements of our customers.
5) We collect and reuse our plastic packaging.
6) We allocate resources and support our employees' training requests and needs in every subject.
7) At our year-end evaluation meeting, which we hold regularly every year, we determine the activities we will undertake in the three pillars of sustainability: environmental protection, economic growth and social development.
Our goal is to allocate more resources to our sustainability activities each year than the previous year.
